941 Form 2021

941 Form 2021—Employer’s Quarterly Federal Tax Return is for employers to report income paid to employees and taxes withheld from this income. Form 941 is also used for figuring out the employer portion of Social Security and Medicare taxes.
It must be filed for every quarter by the end of the first month of the following quarter. It is possible to file Forms 941 for every quarter electronically through an e-file provider. You will need to pay for filing Forms 941 electronically though.
If you don’t want to go the trouble of filing Form 941 and mailing it to the IRS, e-file is a better option. If you don’t want to pay for something that you can handle yourself, file a paper Form 941. Regardless of how you choose to file Form 941, it must be filed by the following dates.

Filing Form 941 on Paper
Assuming you’ve already noted everything that goes into your employees’ income and taxes, you shouldn’t have a problem with filing a Form 941. As long as the information found on their pay stubs are correct, it is easy to file a 941 on paper. For the majority, you will provide information about the following on Forms 941.
- Income paid
- Income taxes withheld
- FICA taxes withheld
- Adjustments for sick pay, tips, group-term life insurance, etc.
Since you can also pay the employer portion of FICA taxes (Social Security and Medicare), you will be completing two things at once. Employers can also use their Forms 941 to pay the IRS by attaching the payment voucher found on the fifth page of complete Form 941.
After Form 941 is done, you can then go ahead and mail it to the IRS. When mailing Form 941 make sure to mail it with USPS.
Note: The IRS hasn’t released the 2021 version of Form 941. As soon as the agency announces the 2021 edition, it will be added here.
