GSA handles government purchasing. Although selling to the government may seem impossible at first, the 2021 GSA contract types allow businesses to sell their supplies and services to the government. Governmentwide Acquisition Contracts

Blanket Purchase Agreement
A blanket purchase agreement is a simple acquisition method the GSA uses to purchase repetitive needs. For example, if you’re trying to sell ink cartridges to the government, it will probably be bought under BPA.
To sell the government with a Blanked Purchase Agreement, you must be a trusted supplier. What the government will want from you is that you will always meet the needs and provide the supplies and services you are asked. You can think of Blanked Purchase Agreements as charge accounts where the government only sets up one with a trusted supplier that will meet the demands.
Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity
Also known as the IDIQ is the type of GSA contract you will see a lot in 2021. Due to the coronavirus pandemic, the government is in need of supplies all the time. The government may buy more supplies than needed to get in the way of shortages.
With an IDIQ type of contract, the supplier must provide the government with an indefinite quantity of supplies or services during a given period of time. If the demands aren’t met, the government is most likely to move to a different supplier. Although it can be hard to keep up with the government’s needs, it can be your only buyer if you can meet the demand.
